USD Toreros vs LMU Lions October 25, 5 PM – Torero Stadium WCC women’s soccer matchup that ended in a 2–2 draw between the Toreros and the Lions. Emma Gustad Myklebust opened the scoring for LMU in the 26th minute, converting a penalty after being fouled near the top of the box. The Toreros equalized in the 37th minute when Maquena O’Callaghan found the bottom left corner following a quick combination with Josefine Schlichting and Hailey Vermilyea. In the second half, LMU regained the lead in the 72nd minute through Callan Harrington, who finished from close range after controlling a long pass from Cameron Bourne. But the Toreros fought back late, with Schlichting leveling the match in the 87th minute with a powerful right-footed strike from 20 yards out, assisted by Kylie Smith and Ruby Shoots. Both teams produced 13 total shots, with LMU slightly ahead in shots on target (7–6) and dominating corner kicks (11–3). The draw kept San Diego unbeaten at home in conference play, while Loyola Marymount extended its competitive form in the WCC.
